The Fort Kochi Food Festival is a cultural and culinary celebration set in the historic coastal town of Fort Kochi,

The Cochin Carnival Committee is the official body responsible for planning, organizing, and hosting the annual Cochin Carnival in Fort Kochi. Established in the mid-1980s, the committee has been carrying forward this celebration for nearly four decades. Formed through the collective involvement of local clubs, cultural organizations, community leaders, artists, youth groups, and civic representatives, it ensures that the carnival remains inclusive, community-driven, and deeply connected to the cultural heritage of Kochi. Guided by the core values of peace, unity, joy, and participation, the committee works each year to create a festival that welcomes everyone, celebrates diversity, and honors the unique multicultural spirit that defines Fort Kochi.
The District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Ernakulam functions under the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, with the core objective of promoting tourism through sustainable, inclusive, and culturally rooted initiatives. The festival layout, viewed from a bird’s-eye perspective, features 50 vibrant stalls arranged symmetrically along both sides of the main ground, with 25 stalls on each side. At the far end, the artist performance stage serves as the visual and experiential focal point. Guests can move freely along the central walkway, enjoying live music as they explore food stalls, cultural popups, and festive activity zones, creating a dynamic and immersive festival atmosphere.
